The VOTA<\/strong> steering wheel is now compatible with the Logitech G PRO RACING WHEEL Direct Drive<\/strong> base. Full compatibility was made possible thanks to electronics and firmware developed by Vladimir Prasanna<\/strong>, a community member who made his work open source<\/strong> on GitHub.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>How does compatibility work?<\/h4>\n

By installing Vladimir\u2019s firmware on the VOTA wheel, properly equipped with a connector compatible with the Logitech G PRO base, it will be possible to use all the main features of the wheel on the Direct Drive base without having to make irreversible changes. The electronic connection is via a quick release<\/strong> with a compatible connector, and the 3DRap mechanical adapter allows you to easily mount the VOTA in place of the original wheel.<\/p>\n

\"\"Firmware installation procedure<\/h4>\n

It is important to note that the VOTA<\/strong> wheel comes without pre-installed firmware<\/strong>. To make it operational on the Logitech Direct Drive base, you will need to download Vladimir Prasanna’s<\/strong> firmware available on GitHub<\/a> and install it by temporarily connecting the wheel to a PC via USB (firmware upload procedure<\/a>). After installation, the wheel will be fully functional, but with some limitations, such as the inability to change the color of the buttons or use the VOTA’s DHP (Double Hub Position) function.<\/p>\n
