3DRap and Adriano Albano are the 2019 Italian Formula Predator’s champions in the PC010 category. The outstanding Sim Racing Zone team, together with Mondiale Racing, Drive Game Seat, Next Level Racing and many other motorsport enthusiasts, secured four wins and one second-place finish across five Grands Prix, during which more than 160 cars took turns on the track over the race weekends.
Albano’s Championship Victory
Albano is the national Formula Predator’s PC010 champion. A decisive victory, achieved in part thanks to 3DRap’s technical support and the digital prototyping company’s first steering wheel for real sports cars. It was made using several technologies, including CNC milling for the 7075 aluminum-magnesium plate and 3D printing for the grip, which was then covered in leather. Installed in the impressive Honda Hornet 600-powered car, the wheel made its track debut in the 2019 Predator’s championship and proved its effectiveness.
3DRap’s Role in Real Motorsport
The 3DRap team is proud to have supported the champion on his journey as a technical partner of SimRacingZone.net, a community of young talents from online racing that decided to take its team into the Formula Predator’s championship. The team is also proud to have reached the top step of the podium in the PC010 category, with contributions from Mondiale Racing Srl, Drive Game Seat, Next Level Racing and many other enthusiasts who helped make these outstanding results possible.
“Achieving such a great success with the help of our first steering wheel for real sports cars is truly thrilling,” said Domenico Orsi, Additive Manufacturing Director at 3DRap. “It is a great reward for the work done by the 3DRap team.”
After reaching more than 100 countries worldwide with its Sim racing products, 3DRap made its debut in real-world motorsport with the #fromvirtualtoreal project, alongside Sim Racing Zone. Like 3DRap, Sim Racing Zone was born in the world of virtual racing and aims to fulfill every Sim racing enthusiast’s dream: taking part in a real motor race. For Adriano Albano, that dream not only came true but also brought powerful emotions and an important victory. It brought 3DRap success on real racetracks, too.
