3DRap and CNA Together at Castellarte 2016

Once again this year, we are happy to announce our participation in Castellarte – International Street Artists Festival 2016, with a welcome new development. We will be there alongside CNA Avellino, the National Confederation of Crafts and Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises. We look forward to seeing you from July 29 to 31 in the beautiful village of Capocastello (Av), where we are also setting up our Lab! Here is the official announcement:

The participation of CNA, the National Confederation of Crafts and Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, which has always supported every form of manufacturing, craftsmanship and small-scale production in the local area, is a natural fit for Castellarte because it showcases local craftsmanship at its finest and creates networks and relationships among different small producers and manufacturers.

CNA ACTIVITIES AT THE FESTIVAL

There will be three nearby stations that can work together and collaborate closely during the event:

  1. A station dedicated to “Di luce Propria: i gioielli della CNA” (“In Their Own Light: CNA Jewelry”), an exhibition previously presented in Milan in June 2015 as part of UNICI, the Fuori Expo event held at the Savona 52 exhibition space. The exhibition brings together works by craftspeople and designers who are CNA members, offering a journey through the excellence and skill that characterize Made in Italy. At the center of the room will be the art installation “Irpinia: topologia di una terra” (“Irpinia: Topology of a Land”), previously displayed at Expo Milano 2015 in the Irpinia Pavilion and as part of the exhibition held at Savona 52.

The exhibition will also feature Angelo Iannaccone’s EATING Project, a photographic project previewed in Milan in June and July 2015.

  1. The “Commistioni” space, representing an association founded within CNA Avellino that took its first steps at Expo Milano 2015 with three events held at the Chocolate Cluster, where some of the association’s projects were presented. Its aim is to create a dialogue between craft and agri-food businesses to develop unique, exclusive products that embody the best work of each participant.
  2. A space for collaboration with the young members of 3DRap—Beniamino Izzo, Domenico Orsi, Antonio De Stefano and Davide Cervone—a collective working in open source, 3D printing and prototyping. Young designer Adriano D’Elia will also be present.

In addition, to bring the stations to life and encourage interaction with the local community, CNA is organizing the 1st “Commistioni” Competition.

Creatives under 40 will have the opportunity to submit a project on the theme of “Commistioni”, combining design, materials and agri-food. To get an idea of the kinds of products the association has created so far, we invite you to visit the DIVINISTANTI Facebook page.

The winner will have a prototype of their project made and will be put in touch with the appropriate craft business.

Projects will be evaluated anonymously, and the winning project will be selected by an internal CNA scientific committee that will also include Gabriele Rotini, CNA’s National Head of Food, and Andrea Santolini, National President of CNA Artistic and Traditional Crafts.
