OPEN DAY DEDICATED TO SIM RACING: 3DRAP OPENED ITS DOORS TO DRIVERS, CUSTOMERS AND CONTENT CREATORS

Between races, all participants had the opportunity to get to know one another and exchange ideas. It was a genuine surprise for everyone, as no one knew who they would meet at the event.
Drivers, customers, content creators, influencers and many more. Where? At the headquarters of 3DRap, which last Saturday, February 18, was transformed into a major hub for knowledge sharing, discussion and socializing. What are we talking about? The Open Day organized by 3DRap at its headquarters in Monteforte Irpino. It was a long and engaging event that the company wanted to dedicate to customers, sim racing enthusiasts and industry experts.
In fact, 3DRap hosted several customers who had expressed an interest in testing the products created by the Irpinian company on the Assetto Corsa rigs set up for the LICS WEL – Italian GT Endurance Championship 2023, organized by LICS (Italian League of Simulation Centers), in which 3DRap is competing with its Racing Team.
THE GUESTS
It was the perfect opportunity to invite some well-known figures from the motorsport industry and sim racing in particular, including content creators, YouTubers and influencers who test 3DRap-branded products and share their experiences with enthusiasts. Among them were Mirco De Santis, a YouTuber from Rome famous for his reviews of professional sim racing products; Massimo Raimo, who reviews driving simulator components online; and “Genziano”, a content creator for SKRT! and another well-known face in motorsport. Also attending were Luca Sodano, one of the developers of Assetto Corsa; Alessandro Perullo, a former Formula 3 and Formula 4 driver who now runs a racing team; and Gianluca Rotello, one of the drivers on the 3DRap racing team, who won the first two races of the Championship. The guest list would not have been complete without Francesco Svelto, a journalist and editor of the eSports section of the monthly magazine Auto.it, one of Italy’s best-known automotive publications.
AN UNEXPECTED SURPRISE
Between races, all participants had the opportunity to get to know one another and exchange ideas. It was a genuine surprise for everyone because no one knew who they would meet at the event: the names remained top secret until guests entered the 3DRap headquarters. One particularly interesting moment came when 3DRap’s technicians and the team’s engineers demonstrated the features of the Ngasa pedal set and its new software: it is not often that you get to discover how a product works directly from the people who created it.
Engines and driving simulators were therefore the most popular topics of the day, but that was fairly predictable. What no one expected, however, was the surprise that the 3DRap team prepared for some of the guests: a true work of art. Some attendees were able to take home a framed display in which 3DRap’s engineers illustrated all the technical details of the components that make up the VIRi dashboard. Among the photos and explanations that make up what can be considered a fully fledged work of art, the original electronics are also featured: a real component from the VIRi dashboard that represents the company’s move into electronics, expanding its product range beyond mechanics. The guests who received this beautiful technological memento of the event were delighted, as were the influencers who follow and promote the company and enthusiastically documented the entire day.
A SUMMARY OF THE DAY
“It was a wonderful initiative that gave people the opportunity to meet, exchange ideas, socialize and talk about their interests and passions,” commented the team that organized and hosted the event. “We saw how genuinely happy the customers were to meet in person the experts and content creators whom they usually only see on social media through a screen. A fantastic experience from virtual to real life, which we hope to repeat soon, especially because we received excellent feedback, particularly from those who were unable to attend and contacted us to reserve a place at the next event.”
