3DRap is pleased to announce that it will take part in SMAU Naples at Mostra d’Oltremare on December 15 and 16, 2016. Smau is now the independent, dynamic platform chosen each year by more than 50,000 entrepreneurs, business managers and public administration managers (2015 figures) to grow and stay up to date on topics such as innovation, technology and digital.
Let’s be honest: when we read the list of the event’s other partners (Intel, Cisco, Microsoft…), we felt a little nervous… But right afterward, we got to work to make the best possible impression.
SMAU Naples Presentation
Our team will have a dedicated stand and will present its business in a speed pitch during a Smau Live Show or Corporate Meeting, a 50-minute event held at the trade fair’s TV Studio and also livestreamed. Led by experienced hosts, it will highlight outstanding businesses and showcase our company’s experience for the benefit of other entrepreneurs and business decision-makers.
But that’s not all. We’ve decided to take this opportunity to present a project we’ve been working on since our company was founded: Poly.

Poly 3D Printer
Poly is a multitool 3D printer made entirely by our team. Open source, upcycling and respect for the environment: these are the values embodied by this product, and the same values on which our company is founded.
Poly itself is 3D-printed using a fully biodegradable and reusable material (PLA). The firmware and software it uses are entirely open source. It is easy to use, intuitive, low-cost, fully portable, compact and appealing, and capable of capturing the attention of adults and children alike. Ideal for taking your first steps into the world of 3D printing, it is designed for both professional and educational use and has one unique feature that sets it apart from all the others: it also runs on batteries!
Poly can draw and 3D-print plastic and chocolate prototypes, and even more surprising new features will be added soon. In the coming months, we will launch a dedicated crowdfunding campaign that we hope will help us bring the product to market and begin producing the first batches.
All that remains is to invite you to join us in Naples, with a little gift from our team: an invitation code that will give you free entry to the fair. Don’t miss it!
