The young engineers at 3DRap certainly could not return home empty-handed. In their digital prototyping laboratory, based in the heart of Mercogliano’s historic center, they will be able to display another trophy alongside the many they have already won in just two years of activity. At SMAU Naples 2018, the event dedicated to innovation for Italian businesses and professionals, 3DRap received the Lamarck Award. This recognition for the most promising Italian startups, created in collaboration with Confindustria’s Young Entrepreneurs Group, will allow the Irpinian team to participate in one of the upcoming scheduled European events.
It is therefore an important award for the 3D printing company, received at one of Southern Italy’s largest events dedicated to innovation and digital technology—fields in which 3DRap introduces new developments that make waves around the world, particularly in the sim racing sector. In the exhibition area of Pavilion 6 at the Mostra d’Oltremare in Naples, the team made several products designed for simulated driving available to visitors, particularly the hand controller for people with disabilities, the manual device that helped make 3DRap a benchmark in the e-sports sector. And the Lamarck Award, created for great ideas that will help renew businesses and services, confirms the company’s ability to turn innovative projects into reality and drive the success of 3D printing.
After Berlin 2016, 3DRap will have the opportunity to exhibit and showcase its products in another major European capital. All that remains is to stay tuned to find out where the members of the Irpinian team, who continue to launch innovations and collect successes, will be heading next.
