Description

it is a “Hand Controller” for disabled simmers, which unfortunately can not use the legs for accelerator and brake.

Our device is worn on the hand, with an ergonomic solution, and allows you to accelerate and brake with your thumb.

It is a device, completely designed and manufactured by 3DRap, and also the rubber strap is TPU printed in our laboratory. It will allow to simulate even those less fortunate, but that has great passion.

Hall Sensors and Bearings

Hall sensors, like the most innovative Fanatec and Thrustmaster pedals, make the control precise and solid: for the best performance.

The use of Hall Sensors allows to install a Bearing system, two for each lever, able to return a fluid and smooth feeling, able to not tire the thumb.

The accelerator is held by a linear spring while, the brake, by two opposing poles, thus ensuring a good modulation to train without straining too much the thumb.

The connection to the PC is via USB port. Careful calibration of the axes in the windows peripheral management is recommended, by pressing and releasing the pedals slowly. In this way, the end stops are set correctly.

For the realization of the product it takes 2 working days.

____________________________________

I haven’t bought it but just saw it on your page. What an amazing initiative! A LOT more people should know about this mod! Thank you for looking out for the disabled, not that I am disabled myself, it’s just nice to know that fellow simmers are aware!

After using this for around 3 months I decided to finally getting to review it. Overall, this is well worth the money. As a NONE leg user so only able to use arms and hands, a hand adapter that was strudy responsive and worked without complex set up with other devices was something I was looking for.

This ticked all the boxes and in games such as Assetto corsa and Assetto Corsa Competizioni, it worked flawlessly. I can’t say if it was as on par with real pedals as o personally never have used real pedals due to disabilities, but the hand adapter felt so naturally. And I would say personally I have very large hands and it was still very comfortable.

This device also works with the Xbox Adapt Controller for Xbox one as that allowed it to work for games such as Forza Horizon 4 and Motorsport 7.

Overall I can not find any issues with this and highly recommend it to anyone who needs a hand adapter

Wow! I am with Emil Birch… I came here looking for parts to do mods on my Trustmaster F1 Wheel and saw this!
What a fantastic creation for our fellow racers and game players that may need it!

I will be sure to share and spread the word about this tech. Good Looking out!

Some corners is too sharp, but ok.. and I changed this yellow-green plastic thing to velcrostring and now I can adjust it with my hand easily.. original was too short.

  5. Di vita

Is it possible to do for different size of hands? Because i know one person they use it, and is to higher of his hand.

Hi! We can try 🙂 we can’t do it too small since we need the space for the electronics, but you can write an email to create@3drap.it to ask for a customization 🙂

I bought this thinking it worked with my PlayStation but it didn’t I ship back and I don’t think it made it so I’m out of $ good idea but all platforms would be nice

Consoles don’t allow you to use custom devices, but we are working on it 🙂

Being paraplegic, it’s tough to race with a wheel since there’s not many things to use as a gas/brake. This worked perfectly. It at first caused a lot of pain because it was too tight, but after getting a new, larger strap to go around my hand it’s made it 10x better. It takes a bit to get used to the braking and the thumb angles you have to hit, but I feel it’s way worth it.
It’s a little challenging to use both hands on the wheel and brake, so, at least for me, I sort of have to drive 1 handed a lot of the corners. It works fine, just takes getting used to. Definitely recommend it for anyone that has trouble using their feet, or can’t use their feet at all.

    Update on Hand Controller

I don’t normally do re reviews, but this is one of few times I feel is a major exception. At start 2019 I fell in love with the original hand controller but with time some issues did occur like the usb port becoming loose due to lack of reinforcement and old sensor system that used magnets where magnets started losing strength. I would like to add I was very hard on units putting over few 1000 hours onto them.

Now in 2022 I decided to buy replacements after the upgrades the hand controller received. The hall sensor built in makes it much more reliable out the box compared to the original unit, weight feels pretty much same but the amount of control and precision thanks to hall sensors each padel just completely transformed it. If you are running a original unit. I would highly recommend upgrading to newer one using hall sensor as completely different piece. Internal maintenance also is a lot easier if you ever want to clean it out as well.

I would say however it’s not perfect. It would be nice if one day it had native console support it a “v3” style was to ever be made. Micro Usb does job well….but it would be very convenient if it was upgraded to type c and maybe include extra foam pads for the controller for extra comfort. Also. It would be nice if the strap attachment moved from Torex to Philips just so a standard screwdriver is needed that most would have compared to a Torex.

These things however I feel are a nickpick in grand scheme of things. Fact it was 95% calibrated out the box, plug and play on pc with nice range of racing games. And very solid build quality for what you are paying. I highly recommend this as a primary device if you can’t use your legs/ or/ and feet at all or limited mobility in that area.

I’ve had this hand control for my right hand for a month now. I really like it. The levers are smooth and not hard to push. Only thing is, the control slips forward when you push the levers. In spite of that, I’m going to be ordering another one, this time for my left hand, tomorrow ,so that I can control the clutch.
