3DRap and Città della Scienza Together at Futuro Remoto 2017

Thanks to winning the “Città della Scienza” award (as part of the Westart Challenge 2017) and to its collaboration with Campania New Steel, 3DRap is pleased to announce its participation in “Futuro Remoto“, now in its thirty-first edition.

A major free celebration dedicated to science, technology, innovation, art and culture, it has become Italy’s largest social innovation event over the years. Organized, as always, by Città della Scienza around the dissemination of scientific culture and science communication, Futuro Remoto serves as an interface between the production of scientific knowledge and the various sectors of civil society.

The theme of this edition is “CONNECTIONS”. This means strengthening dialogue among those who produce and promote culture, sharing resources, working together, cooperating, building networks, nurturing creativity, finding new solutions, innovating, supporting peace and promoting a vision of sharing as a path toward sustainable development.

CONNECTIONS means responding to the need to share knowledge and participate democratically in the innovation processes taking place in society. It offers a special opportunity to introduce the new possibilities opened up by the latest advances in scientific, cultural and technological research, and the opportunities available to all of us to make tangible changes in our lives, thanks in part to innovation driven by our country’s research and innovation system and businesses.

The event will take place from May 25 to 28, 2017, in the wonderful setting of Piazza del Plebiscito in Naples. Our team will be there on Saturday, May 27, and Sunday, May 28, showcasing a range of products including Poly, the first portable, battery-powered and biodegradable 3D printer; design objects made by recycling waste materials; and much more! Don’t miss it!
