DIGITA Academy, a project launched by Deloitte in November 2017 at the San Giovanni a Teduccio university campus in Naples to give talented, bright recent graduates (or students nearing completion of their master’s degrees) the tools to engage with the industrial world, chose us from among international companies working in Industry 4.0 and Digital Transformation as a case study to analyze.
The activity, held over a single day, followed three stages:
- Presentation of 3DRap’s core business and the Poly project
- Development of a business plan and innovative solutions for the project through working groups divided by area of expertise
- Presentation of the results

The workshop involved 50 talented participants selected in September. The educational program, divided into two four-month blocks with a one-month break, was developed using a blended learning approach that combines in-person training with experiential learning, as well as seminars and firsthand accounts from the world of startups and international entrepreneurship.
Taking part in initiatives of this kind was an excellent opportunity to engage with those who will become the sector’s future entrepreneurs and professionals. We also believe that the path taken by the University of Naples Federico II and the companies involved is the right one, because these opportunities for interaction between the worlds of work and education align well with the approach any business or professional seeking to enter the global market must adopt today: Open Innovation.
