3DRap Wins First Prize at Start Up Evolution 2018

3DRap has won the first edition of “Start Up Evolution Lamura 2018,” organized by DFL Srl, a well-known distribution company, and a group of entrepreneurs from Campania to commemorate the passing of DFL founder Linuccio Lamura. In Sala Consilina, where the company is based and the event was held, the Mercogliano start-up was selected from among 30 local businesses, only five of which were chosen for the final stage.
Taking 3DRap to the top step of the podium, unanimously voted and named the winner by a jury made up of local entrepreneurs, the organizing staff and the scientific committee, was its Hand Controller project for people with disabilities. The hand control, designed for sim racing enthusiasts who cannot use their lower limbs, had already enjoyed tremendous success. Many sim drivers wanted to test the efficiency and comfort of the component, which makes it possible to accelerate and brake with a simple movement of the fingers, facilitating access to the world of Simracing even for those who had previously encountered difficulties. A noble project that has enabled the 3D printing company to add yet another important award to its collection.

A €2,000 research incentive grant will be awarded to the members of 3DRap on Sunday, October 7, at DFL’s headquarters in Sala Consilina. The check, which the Irpinia-based start-up will be able to use to develop the idea it presented, will be handed over by the President of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, during the second edition of Lamura Evolution Day. The open day organized by the Salerno-based company, which will be attended by more than 2,000 visitors, 630 retail outlets and 90 exhibitors, is a benchmark in the distribution sector in Central and Southern Italy. 3DRap will be part of this showcase, having achieved yet another milestone that, for its young engineers, represents another starting point on the path toward the future of innovation.
